Power Management Circuit
The Golfer Bot was powered entirely from a single 7.2V NiCAD battery. This battery was routed to a LM2940T 5V low-dropout regulator, and two power rails were created to power all of the components on board the GBot. The unregulated output was only used to supply power to each drive motor and power the E128 (which has its own voltage regulator). The 5V regulated output was used for everything else, and this circuit also contained the ground stars that each circuit was routed to in order to reduce conductively coupled noise in our circuits.
