Hi! I am a second year masters student in ME, I studied bioengineering at UC Berkeley as an undergraduate. I am focusing my studies at Stanford on mechanical design. I was born and raised in Sacramento, and I don’t think I will ever move out of this great state. I like to spend my spare time surfing, climbing, or doing anything outdoors.

I'm from Bermuda and grew up spending most of my time on the ocean. I enjoy playing the violin, windsurfing and diving. I completed my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering here at Stanford and am glad to still be here!

Hi! I'm Annie, or AScal. As a young girl, I didn't really have an excessive amount of Legos or a ""my-size toolkit"" or anything, but I discovered as an undergrad here at Stanford how much I love building things, even (especially) when that means you're the go-to fix-it person at home. When I'm not misplacing my dad's tools at home, my attention is usually split between 24 different things I'm working on or trying to learn - a new instrument or programming language, digitizing my dad's awesome vinyl collection, going rollerblading or for a bike ride, reading Instructables, etc. - none of which I ever finish, obviously. But hey, it's the journey! ...

I grew up in Dallas, TX, and I traveled out west to USC for my undergrad in Mechanical Engineering. I graduated in 2011, and last year I took ME 310 here, working on a project about encouraging electric mobility in Norway. In my free time I like watching and playing sports (I'm a pretty huge Dallas Mavs fan) and traveling.
